“I can tell you honestly that it was not a conscious effort to become an entrepreneur,” claimed Juliana Mattar, founder and managing director of motion – the creative influence.
When she reached a saturation point in her then profession, she took it in her stride to expand her career horizon. “As you grow wiser with experience, you start developing your own work philosophies. At that time, I felt like I could do so much more, and there were a lot more things that I could do and make bigger things happen,” she shared.
What started as a pursuit to perfecting her own working philosophies and her desire to make the world her universe, has became the conception tract where motion was conceived. And the rest is history. “I am focused on making motion a place where the creative spark is ignited and an avenue where work is produced with pride and passion,” she explained.
With such gusto, it is not surprising that motion expanded its forte from an events and production agency to a creative studio producing sensory and experiential content designed for a holistic production and experience.
Despite a challenging 2009 where the financial meltdown dragged the heels of the company, motion emerged stronger with a presence in China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. “More than expansion, I’d like our creative influence to touch people’s lives. Ideas are one of the most potent movers of people. If we’re able to inspire, excite and empower them with our ideas, I think we’ve done the right thing.”
